Hey You,

First blog post here. Most of my posts will be at random on different topics but mostly related to photography and my journey. Bare with me, as I slowly transition into my photography career.

My name is Pa Chia Xiong. I’ve been photographing and graphic designing since 2004-2005. I still have a printed poster I worked on in 2006 (when I had no clue what I was doing) so that’s proof. :) 

I was a graphic designer before I approached photography so that is why I am officially releasing my photography website this year. 

Now, at random: 

Lately, I have been investing and researching about lab printing, frames and custom framing for my photographs.

I have always just photographed, retouched and left my work on the world wide web. Back then, I was a eCommerce photographer shooting fast women’s wholesale fashion. The photos didn’t feel special for me to print because it was fast work. The end product was to sell clothes, not the photo itself.

In late 2016, I finally started to print my photographs testing different labs. Each photo printed made me super happy to see a solid memory in my hand. Not long after, in 2017, I visited Bali, Indonesia and Taipei, Taiwan and I printed even more photographs. They were priceless! They document part of my life.

Printing my photos, I feel it just brings worth and framing my photos brings a new profound complete look to my photographs. I urge you to print your photos. Put them in a box, store them away and when you’re 5 years older, open and look at how full your life has been even more since then!
